Classification of Credit Cards

Depending on the card issuer, it can be divided into bank cards and non-bank cards.


Bank card is a credit card issued by the bank, the cardholder can be issued by the issuing bank's special merchant shopping and spending, or the issuing bank all branches or equipped with an automatic teller machine at any time to withdraw cash.


Non-bank cards can be specifically divided into retail credit cards and tourist entertainment cards. A retail credit card is a credit card issued by a commercial organization, such as a department store, oil company, etc., dedicated to shopping in a designated store or refueling at a petrol station, and checkout on a regular basis. Travel and entertainment cards are credit cards issued by the service industry, such as airlines, travel companies, etc., used to purchase tickets, meals, accommodation, entertainment and so on.


According to the different issue objects which can be divided into company cards and personal cards.


Company card. The company card is issued for all kinds of industrial and commercial enterprises, scientific research and education institutions, the State Party and government organs, troops, groups and other legal entities.


Personal card. Individual cards are issued to individual urban and rural residents, including workers, cadres, teachers, science and technology workers, self-employed households and other adult urban and rural residents with stable sources of income. A personal card is claimed in the name of an individual and is responsible for all the responsibilities of the card.


According to the cardholder's credit, status and other credit situation, can be divided into ordinary cards and gold cards


Normal card. Ordinary cards are issued to cardholders of economic strength and credibility and status, and their various requirements are not high.


Gold. A gold card is a premium credit card that pays a high fee and enjoys special treatment. The object of issuing the card is those with high creditability, ability to repay and strong credit or have a certain social status. The gold card's authorization limit starts from a higher level and the scope of additional services is much wider, so the requirements for service costs and guarantees are higher.


Depending on the way of payment, credit cards can be divided into credit cards and quasi-credit cards.


Credit card. It is the issuing bank to provide bank credit, the first overdraft use, and then repayment or installment payment, the international circulation of most of the use of such cards. This means that cardholders are allowed to pay their debts on credit card accounts by "spending first, depositing later". Most of these cards are used internationally.


Quasi-credit card. It is a credit card issued by a bank that deposits before spending. Cardholders in the application for credit cards, need to have a certain amount in advance in the issuing bank to reserve, cardholders in the use of the card need to be based on the balance of the deposit, generally not allowed overdraft.


According to the credit card circulation range, can be divided into international cards and regional cards


International card. An international card is a credit card that can be used outside the issuing country and is common worldwide. MasterCard, Visa International, American Express, JCB Credit Card and Daley Credit Card Are Mostly International Cards issued by the five overseas groups(MasterCard, Visa International, JCB Credit Card and Daley Credit Card Company).


         Regional card. A regional card is a credit card that can only be used within the country of issue or within a certain area.
