Breast cancer Conservative treatment

Early breast-conserving treatment of breast cancer does not affect the survival rate of early breast cancer patients. After breast-sparing treatment, the recurrence rate in the affected breast is basically the same as that of "traditional" surgery. At present, tens of thousands of breast-conserving surgeries have been performed internationally, proving that their survival rate is basically the same as that of total mastectomy patients; the same long-term survival rate as the "traditional" method of modified radical mastectomy can be obtained. After breast-sparing treatment, if there is a recurrence in the affected side of the breast, salvage total mastectomy can still achieve a survival rate similar to that of general modified radical mastectomy.

Early breast conserving treatment and postoperative diet for breast cancer

   1. Breast-conserving surgery is an operation for the treatment of breast cancer. In the treatment of breast cancer, breast-conserving surgery means that the scope of surgical resection tends to shrink, try to maintain the beauty of the patient's breasts, and retain the symbol of female confidence, but at the same time breast-conserving surgery also guarantees the removal of the tumor, reducing metastasis and recurrence. Breast-conserving surgery has the characteristics of less trauma and less pain. It not only preserves the integrity of the breast shape, but also takes into account postoperative functional recovery. Breast-conserving surgery and postoperative comprehensive treatment have become one of the main methods for the treatment of early breast cancer.

  2. Breast cancer surgery has undergone an evolution from small to large, and completed the transformation from local resection→radical mastectomy→extended radical mastectomy→modified radical mastectomy with pectoralis major and (or) pectoralis minor muscle preservation. Relevant experts have found that with the expansion of the scope of surgery, the survival rate of patients after surgery has not significantly improved, while comprehensive treatment based on surgery can significantly improve the survival rate of breast cancer patients. As a result, breast-conserving surgery came into being, and the surgical treatment of breast cancer entered the era of breast-conserving surgery.

  3. Early breast-conserving surgery for breast cancer Reserving most of the breasts can improve the quality of life, improve the function of the affected upper limbs, and reduce surgical complications. The same long-term survival rate as the "traditional" method of modified radical mastectomy can be obtained. After breast-sparing treatment, the recurrence rate in the affected breast is basically the same as that of "traditional" surgery. After breast-sparing treatment, if there is a recurrence in the affected side of the breast, salvage total mastectomy can still achieve a survival rate similar to that of general modified radical mastectomy.
