Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a world-renowned research university in Singapore. NTU is a member of the Pacific Rim University Alliance, the Global University Presidents Forum, the International Alliance of New Engineering Education, a founding member of the Global University Artificial Intelligence Academic Alliance, a certified member of AACSB, a member of the Association of Professional Colleges of International Affairs (APSIA), and a founding member of the International Alliance of Universities of Science and Technology . As a research-intensive university in Singapore, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) enjoys a world-renowned reputation for research in many fields such as nanomaterials, biomaterials, functional ceramics and polymer materials. NTU is a comprehensive university with both engineering and business courses. 

The predecessor of Nanyang Technological University was Nanyang University, which was founded by a private fundraising campaign in 1955. In 1981, the Singapore government established Nanyang Technological Institute on the site of Nanyang University to cultivate engineering professionals for Singapore’s economy; Nanyang Technological Institute was reorganized in 1991 , Incorporating the National Institute of Education into its subsidiary and renamed Nanyang Technological University to keep pace with the fast-growing education industry; in April 2006, Nanyang Technological University was officially commercialized.

NTU ranked the world's top universities by citations in the field of artificial intelligence during 2012-2016, and is adopting digital technology to improve learning and life as part of its smart campus vision. It has established partnerships with world-leading technology companies such as Alibaba, Rolls-Royce, BMW, Volvo, Delta Electronics, and Singapore Telecom in many areas of social importance and influence, including artificial intelligence, data science, Robots, intelligent transportation, computing, personalized medicine, healthcare and clean energy.

NTU Smart Campus is not only a living testing ground for Tomorrow’s technology, but it is often listed among the top 15 most beautiful university campuses in the world. It has 57 green mark certified building projects, including more than 230 buildings, 95% of which have obtained green mark platinum certification. It provides engineering, science, business, humanities, arts, social sciences and education, and has a joint medical school with Imperial College London. In addition to the main campus, NTU also has a medical school in Novena, Singapore's healthcare district.
